I got these pants (Banana Republic) from a thrift store in GA for ~$4! It’s the first time I’ve had a chance to wear them.

Today was one of those days when I felt like every mirror was one of those trick mirrors that make you look smaller than you really are because you fell like there’s no way you really look like that.

Every now and then I’m able to see myself as I am. Until I change in to my sleep clothes and see my stomach jiggle when I walk.

So here was my day:

I got up, weighed in for SOS (I was up 134.? I forget), had breakfast & coffee, tumbled, but didn’t post anything, and went for my run (20 times up & down the stair hill= 2 miles. I was still taking it easy because of the blood thing). Then I came home & scraped, cleaned up, saw that I had a Moe’s coupon in my email, went there for lunch, then I decided to smash my dropped cell phone and went to Sonic.

When I was pulling out, there were 2 cops in a car, and the one in the passenger side called out to me and asked where my tag was. He said it expired a year and a half ago. I told him I knew we had always paid and put on our new sticker, but I parked to check, and only had the ‘10 sticker on it. He said to make sure I hurry and get a new one before “one of the guys on bikes” gets me. I wouldn’t get a ticket because I have the paperwork, but it would still be a pain to be constantly pulled over. 

After that I went to a thrift store that used to have a dressing room but no longer does. I tried on a few shirts over what I was wearing, and found a light gray sweater that I liked for $1.88. Then I saw 2 pairs of jeans that looked really nice, one of which I planned to turn into camp shorts. I thought they would fit since I was having a good body image day, but when I tried them on at home, they were both too tight. One fit in the waist, but my thighs were too big awesome for them. The other pair (7 For All Mankind!) buttoned, but were too tight everywhere. I think I’ll do a mini giveaway because I can’t take them back.

When I got home, I made cookies for the fellowship meal and we went there at 5:30 and the gospel meeting was at 7:00. I had rainbow cake again. I also ate fruit, so I did better overall in my fellowship mealing than yesterday.

Since we got home, I’ve been scrolling the dash/typing this post/talking to Jeremy all at once.

So all that is where I’ve been all day.

1 point for LDLC. If I want my 13, I can’t mess up again.

Happy Sunday!
Today is the start of our gospel meeting at church which meant a fellowship meal for lunch- and dinner every night through Thursday. We’re probably only going tomorrow because it’s our team’s night to set up & clean up. I didn’t eat much of anything healthy (there really wasn’t much healthy stuff that I like), but I didn’t get over full, so I’m still set to get my LDLC food point. Oh, and there was RAINBOW CAKE! 
This afternoon I redid week 4, day 1 of 100 pushups since I hadn’t done it since Tuesday, so that’s 18+22+16+16+25=97 reps of push ups and v-ups.
I can tell I’m still not completely recovered from giving blood. I got all weird feeling this morning when I got hungry and, once again, I ate more food than usual.
I’ve eaten so much the past few days, but it seems like I’ve needed it.

And speaking of the challenge, I haven’t posted my points in a few days. Yesterday I messed up at lunch, so I don’t get my food point. It was also a rest day, but I was active in that I picked up sticks and pine cones from our yard. I couldn’t really do more because I was recovering from the blood donation, but I’m giving myself my exercise point because that was the best I could do. I get both points for today, so I’m up to 10 total.

I got 12 points for LDLC last week. I did push ups Sunday. I ate more than I should’vee, but didn’t break the rules I set for myself.

Today I get 1 point because I did secret eating. This week we need 12 points, so I can only slip up once more, or I won’t make it.

At least I maintained this weekend.

Today’s run:

4 miles, 36:29, 9:07 pace average.

I was planning on more, but my legs felt heavy from the very first step. Then I had to stop and go to the bathroom, and decided to stop. 

Then I did 3 sets of 10 20” bench jumps.

After that, Jeremy and I sat for a while in the breezy shade. 

I got my grades all done. Everyone passed everything. Tomorrow is our last day of work.  

Our preacher’s wife called me today and told be about a possible job for the summer and maybe beyond.

It’s been a less than stellar eating week.  I did end up not eating again after my “lunch” yesterday because I didn’t get hungry.
I won’t weigh again until Monday because we’ll be at Jeremy’s parents’.  I will bring my tape measure.
Yesterday I got 1 point for LDLC, so I’m up to 6/11. I’ve got to do some kind of exercise every day now and not eat too much and I’ll be on track.  I won’t be alone to do any secret eating.

It will be up again tomorrow because it’s another running rest day and I messed up my food again. At least I didn’t finish everything I bought. I actually threw away the last few bite of a pizza roller. I suppose that’s progress.

Yesterday I got 2 points for LDLC, so that makes 5/11. Today I plan to do some leg strength stuff when Jeremy & I get back from watching The Avengers!  

He decided he did want to see it in the theater, so we’re going tonight so that I don’t have to take pictures at the school’s graduation. I never go to graduation because I don’t teach high schoolers. The headmaster volunteered me to one of the parents to take pictures. I told them I’d do it if I didn’t have any plans, but I don’t have the right kind of flash so the pictures wouldn’t be very good.  Well, now I have plans. (I told them this last week; i didn’t just spring it on them.) I really didn’t want all that pressure on me.

I may also do gun show Thursday after we get back. I don’t know. I’m afraid it’s annoying if I do it every week. I’m running out of ways to make it interesting.

Post run hydration nudge
Not the best run, but it’s my fault for having froyo and a yoyo cookie before running. Beware the yos, yo.


Today was a mental struggle. I couldn’t decide if I was going to push hard or go easy. Also, pretty much every joint in my right leg decided to mess with me at some point.
I also still struggle sometimes with disconnecting runs from the calories they burn.  When my hip was whining, I told myself I had to keep going to at least 40 min. because then I should’ve burned 400 calories (the amount in the yoyo cookie). 
I probably won’t eat again tonight because I doubt I’ll be hungry. All the sweets were consumed before 5 and now it’s almost 9 (and time for bed).
1 point for LDLC for the day, running total is up to 3/11.

Woah! I actually match!

That was the best pic I could get because the sweat was in my eyes so badly I couldn’t keep them open. See:

Once again, my shirt made me fast:

I felt pretty sluggish and like I wasn’t going that fast. I’m pretty sure I could’ve gone another lap if my knee hadn’t started feeling weird.

It was also my fastest hot run. It was near 90.

Then I scraped when I got home, so my arms are toast, too. I should’ve included scraping in my arm workout post, haha. I think that’s why I’ve gotten pretty good definition in my shoulders.

I had another 2 point day for Lindsaydoeslife challenge, so I got my 7 for the week already! I’m still going to work and not slack off.

I’ve never “hosted” a challenge, but here goes nothing :)

I’ve been pretty open about struggling the last few weeks/months with eating and exercise. my weight is not where it want it to be and my body is not where i want it to be.

i’ve also noticed some other tumblrs hitting some speed bumps…

I like how you can define “good” in your own way. I especially like how it’s not all-or-nothing. I can have a “bad” day or two and still have a good enough week.

My “good” will be two-fold:

  1. No secret eating.
  2. Don’t eat until stuffed.

Other than that, I allow anything else in moderation.

Like tonight I’m going to an ice cream party.
