It takes a special kind of smooth to get whip marks like those from single jumps.
Last night’s workout:
Tabata jump rope, tabata fast bicycle crunches, repeat
I did over 350 crunches and who knows how many jumps and am amazingly not sore anywhere but the front of my hips, just inside my hip bones.
Since intuitive eating includes exercising to make you feel good, that 16 min. workout made me feel awesome. If you count holding Ryland as an arm workout, I worked my whole body last night.
Ryland decided to throw the awesome nighttime sleeping he’s done for the the past several weeks out the window last night, so I’m now running on 5 1/2 hr. instead of my usual 7-8. It still takes 8.5+ for me to feel fully refreshed, but I only get that on Saturdays when Jeremy lets me go back to bed and then on Sundays after my afternoon nap. I do okay as long as I get 7, though.
My ddd for yesterday will be in video form once I get out and go to Starbucks thanks to this surprise I had in my email this morning:

I’ll probably wait until 2:00 because BOGO. Hopefully I’ll get a nap in before that and take Ryland for a walk.

That awkward moment when you’re jumping rope and your shorts start falling down because you forgot to tie your drawstring.

I had made 120 jumps without messing up, but had to stop to pull up/tie my shorts.

1,000 jumps in 9:15. The last time I tried it (May ‘11) it took 10:18. Sweet.

I think that makes up for my little run. 

For the first 600, I made over 100 before each mess up. After that, it was mostly my arms that were super tired.

Also, did you know you can set Pandora so it filters explicit songs? I learned that a couple of months ago, and listening to clean dubstep while jumping makes you feel pretty hardcore.

Then, since wearing my Warrior Dash shirt makes me feel hardcore, I decided to practice double unders. I got 1 the first time I tried every time, strung 2 a couple times, and got 3 once. I could’ve gotten 3 one other time, but I stepped backward off the patio onto the grass.
I also did some other jumps, totaling about 5 minutes. During the DU practice, my right leg started to hurt, and it kind of feels like bone pain, not muscle pain. Boo.
Now that I’ve destroyed my legs, I’m going to go destroy my arms & shoulder via scraping as soon as I’m done eating & clean the kitchen. Seriously, if you like how my shoulders look, bring your stepladder & your scraper over to my house and come help me scrape paint. 
Oh! I saw something pretty awesome in the mirror this morning and took a couple pictures to put on my progress blog. I don’t know if anyone else can see it. It’s pretty faint in the mirror and even fainter (of course) in the pictures.

Apparently the Warrior Dash made my arms & shoulders more tired than I realize because I accidentally did level 2 instead of level 3 of Week 3, day 2 for 100 push ups and could barely complete the reps. 
Also, jumping with a cloth rope is a lot harder when you’re used to a speed rope, but the speed rope is a bit wild for our living room.
I was supposed to run today, but I was sad and didn’t feel like running in the rain today even though I usually love it. There was another reason, too, but you probably don’t want to know…
On an unrelated note, I’ve decided to participate in S.O.S., but I will couple it with measuring my waist, too. My main reason for this is to track fluctuations and also to possible help others struggling with maintenance (because this is still a struggle).  I’m going to graph both numbers. I’ll start tomorrow because I don’t remember the exact numbers from this morning.
Oh, and 2 points today for LDLC! I was wanting secret fast food so badly today and resisted!

Also, jumping with a cloth rope is a lot harder when you’re used to a speed rope, but the speed rope is a bit wild for our living room.

I was supposed to run today, but I was sad and didn’t feel like running in the rain today even though I usually love it. There was another reason, too, but you probably don’t want to know…

So here it is… the long-awaited jump rope video!

1,000 jumps in 10:15

Not as cool as Mango’s video.

At the start, I jumped over 120 times without messing up-that’s a record for me.

By the end I couldn’t make it 10 jumps straight.
