Making Myself Better

28. Happy
There are so many reasons I’m happy today. (Which makes me think of a song that goes “I’m happy today./ Oh, yes, I’m happy today./ In Jesus Christ I’m happy today/ because He’s taken all my sins away./ That’s why I’m happy today.)
Jeremy and I went canoeing and had a great time and tried new things and dumped out once because of it. I was able to pull myself back into the canoe while in the water without any help.  Then we owned the Gap, the main whitewater hole on this stretch Coosa, successfully eddied out, and got back in (what dumped us before) with no problem.
I’m so blessed to be able to enjoy things like this.

Just because someone is depressed doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re down and sad 24/7 (this isn’t applicable to everyone with depression). They can still have good days, and if something good happens to them, they can still be happy about it. Also, this doesn’t mean that when they’re happy, they’ve gotten over their depression. Some people might be faking happiness so that others can’t tell their depressed, but just because someone is depressed doesn’t mean that they have to be sad about everything, and if they are happy about something it doesn’t mean “they’re not REALLY depressed.”
