I think I could be trainedish enough for a half by mid-Feb. Birmingham is only an hour and a half away, and the medal is a Mercedes emblem. It is a (half)marathon medal and I can wear it to da club to match my grill.
No commitments yet, but this is possible.
First race of the 2013 Season is now on the books….
The Mercedes Half-Marathon on 2/17/13 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Pros:
1) Visit and race with TTT-Tory…
2) Cheap, because I’ll stay with TTT-Tory. Entry fee is only $60 for a 13.1
3) Easy enough winter training…keep me in shape, but nothing…

Not that I’d run it since it’s within my race hiatus time, but I would definitely go meet up if it were on a Saturday.
