Making Myself Better

Sunset after our run & a kind of goofy pic of Jeremy & me.

Yesterday’s plan was a warm up, then 3x1600m intervals with 3 minutes walking rest. I only made it halfway through my 2nd mile because I was getting lightheaded because it was so hard for me to breathe due to allergies + humidity.

Also, my Garmin was kind of crazy at the beginning of my warm-up. It said I went way farther than I really did and had me going way faster (under 6:00/mi)

Yeah, um, I neither descended from a mountain no ran over the interstate.

My splits:

The first split (the warm up) was really about 1.25 miles. I was too slow on my 1st mile. I couldn’t believe how hard it was for me to hit my pace when I’ve run a 7:00 mi. before. I was feeling a little lightheaded before I even started, but I was hoping that running would alleviate it a little. I learned last night that running only helps with allergy caused runny nose and not with any of the other symptoms.

Then Jeremy and I walked for 1.59 miles, so I got about  4.4 total miles yesterday. I couldn’t even walk as fast as I normally can. It was tough to go about 15:30 when I can usually easily walk under 15:00.

Then we sat and watched the rest of the sunset, but my camera dies trying to take a better picture of us, so I don’t have any more.

Today I’m going to try some cross training on our recumbent bike and probably some abs. It all just depends on how I feel once I get started.
