Sometimes my eyeliner is more fitting for a 13-year-old than a 30-year-old.  I don’t care.

Today I got my b-day card from my parents’ in the mail. My mom is a major card-sending-procrastinator and always has been. She had the card when I was at their house a month ago.

But it was so perfect that it would’ve made me cry if I hadn’t just put on non-waterproof mascara. It was so sweet, and the words really fit me so well, and it blew me away that I was able to recognize that.

I can tell it’s going to be one of those weekends where I’ll cry if we sing certain songs, “Can He Still Feel the Nails” being one of them. 

Speaking of the weekend, I need to head back home to finish packing and stuff before it’s time to pick up Jeremy.
