Smiling because I can run, even if it’s not always a good one.
First I ran a 0.76 warm-up and then this:

See split 1? That was my timed mile attempt for Brittany’s 30 day running challenge. My PR is 7:00. That was the slowest timed mile I’ve run in over 1 1/2 years. I could blame it on a lot of things: my stomach, the major humidity, wearing my Camelbak because I was afraid to leave it lying around, and on and on. It was probably a combination of a few things. The rest of that workout it running back to the park. My stomach was hurting so badly. My total miles this morning were 3.09.
I really wanted to get to 7 for the day to start my half training, so I went back out this evening for this (I forgot my Garmin):

I had dead legs the whole time, so I’m surprised my pace was what it was. It did bring me up to 7.33 for the day.
Hopefully this stomach ache will leave me soon so I can get on with my training. These last few weeks have not been good running-wise. First my blood donation sapped my energy for several days. Just after that, I started my period, and the stomach ache started a few days into that.
But at least I can run.
