This was yesterday’s run. It was supposed to be 800m warm up then 800 run in 3:50, walk 400m x3, 800m cooldown.
My Garmin messed up on the middle run interval and had me switch to walking after just 400. Then it combined my 1st walking break into that run time, so the 3rd 0.5 mi. lap is the combination of those two. Since it did that, I added another 800 at the end.
The 2nd full 800 I hit right of pace, but it was pretty inconsistent within the interval. I’d start off too fast, look at my watch and see 6:xx pace, slow down, see 8:xx pace, speed up and finally get it close to where I wanted to be (7:40 pace).
But really, not bad for my first 800s session. While they were by no means easy, they also weren’t too hard even though my energy has been down a little lately due to the stomach ache/having trouble eating enough/unintentional weight loss thing.
